National SSAGO

Here is a summary of what the Exec have been up to and what we are working towards! Main decisions: Development bids accepted: Wifi hotspot for use at National events and Aberystwyth archive materials. Updated Development Fund policy and since approved by reps. Payment deadlines to be introduced to National events. Kudu Bird to be repaired and box to store it in to be bought (similar to the Gadaffi plate). What have we been up to: Since handover in April we have had 5 Exec meetings so far, in addition to catch-up meetings. All of the Exec made it to Gilwell 24! All with the help of other SSAGOers we spread the word to other Explorers, Senior Section members and leaders. We’ve also had support teams at Magic and Mayhem, Fundays, and Wellies and Wristbands! Updating the constitution, which includes writing articles and association, which will be sent to the Charity Commision as part of becoming a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). Signed the Memorandum of Agreement with TSA! Preparing publicity packs and getting ready for the new academic year. InTouch and National Events policy updated and awaiting reps approval later in the year. Preparing and sending out Fresher’s publicity packs to clubs. Helping to set up new clubs: Worcester and Winchester. What the exec are currently working towards: Aiming to become a charity by January 2019. Introduce an online forum to discuss reps voting, activities and Fresher’s ideas. Updating the Incident Reporting policy. Making a Factsheet for new clubs, to introduce them to how SSAGO works.
